Fall Family Pictures in Orange County

This lifestyle fall family pictures session in Orange County was nothing short of amazing. It was one of the most warm and inviting sessions I have had the pleasure of photographing. The session was full of serious faces, smiles and giggles. The beauty of family sessions for me is simplicity and emotion. It is amazing to see the shared love and special bond these people have for each other and to be able to portray that on camera is special.

Family sessions such as this one are normally done outside of my Anaheim Hills studio in a pretty, natural place just before sunset. We consider this the golden hour. One major perk of being a photographer based in Southern California is the nonstop gorgeous sunshine. I like to take full advantage of that warm glow at golden hour. Not only does the glow make the pictures more pleasing to the eye, but it also realistically captures the warmth of the love these families have.

One of the most important parts of family sessions is coordination in the outfits- patterns, colors, and layers. The outfits tie the entire session together and this session was a great example of how important the styling is. All the deep maroon and fall colors connect well to make the session look seamless. How sweet is the little one’s flower crown too?! Flower crown was provided by our friends at Victoria’s Garden. She makes amazing floral bouquets, centerpieces, crowns and cake smash décor.
